previous 1/10 next 3/10  A.C.TORINO 1 - 0 InterM (366286760)

The crowd of 27400 turning up at Filadelfia today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Jakub Kierdzielak was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Taučius Šukštulis and Vasile Răduţ. A.C.TORINO had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Chaparro - Belshaku, Chalco, Regine - Perfeito, Deggendorf, Struzik, Ruckli, Ortanca - Ballesteros, Hachmann.

InterM decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Bregantin - Kaplan, Renna, Maican, Caffier - Moreno, Stryffeler, Boza, Arci - Panato, Huamancaja.

Today, InterM's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. 2 minutes into the game, M. Panato had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. 14 minutes into the match, InterM nearly took the lead, as M. Panato broke through on the right. P. Chaparro made the save, however. Making his way up the middle 25 minutes into the match, C. Deggendorf almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert F. Bregantin blocked it to keep the score level. X. Hachmann slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Halftime score was 0 - 0. A.C.TORINO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

A. Kammer was called on to replace InterM's C. Maican after 70 minutes following a nasty collision. After 78 minutes, A.C.TORINO were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. A. Ruckli did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Given a free kick close to the byline, A.C.TORINO tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let A. Struzik slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 0, 82 minutes into the game. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 83 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called A.C.TORINO's C. Regine to one side and produced a red card for the player. A. Kammer was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so InterM's G. Riedenbauer had to come off the bench. A.C.TORINO had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

A.C.TORINO's best player was S. Ballesteros. However, A. Struzik made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating InterM player was without a doubt P. Renna. G. Riedenbauer turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
