The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 42440 had shown up at Timberjack Arēna for the match. Carlo Amsler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mats Risbom and David Prescott. It was an obvious ambition of Timberjack to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Sikie. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to S. Corsi, but the Timberjack player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! After 23 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Sikie found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Timberjack to 2 - 0 as M. Cvjetan finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Mandragallo squirmed through their central defence after 32 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Sikie's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing K. Anger to score easily from the right flank for 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Timberjack claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Sikie was able to get his message across, and raised Sikie's organisation to solid. Timberjack put themselves up 4 - 1 when A. García broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 72 minutes, Sikie switched V. Apáti with J. Ķimenis-Ķimelis, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Timberjack managed to extend their lead to 5 - 1 when J. van Xanten cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Confident in their lead, Timberjack's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Sikie needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes K. Anger made way for A. Bazyl'. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Sikie's I. Svezhentsev was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 79 minutes. E. Āboltiņš was given a chance to change things around. S. Plum was the new captain of Sikie - handed the armband by the departing player. 80 minutes into the game, Timberjack were awarded a penalty that A. García turned into 6 - 1 without a problem. J. Nohejl unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Timberjack, with 80 percent of the ball.

Most important Timberjack player was A. García. S. Corsi was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Sikie player was without a doubt A. Berardi. L. Garsils on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 6 - 1.
