Yüksel cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 3 - 1 was the score after the first half. Mediolanum claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Mediolanum solidified their lead at the 54 minute mark, as R. Ullman dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 1. Always quick and a menace to his opponents, R. Arigò was very close to getting through after 66 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. H. Rösele squirmed through their central defence after 67 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Mediolanum lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. lostris's R. Arigò got himself booked for a foul. H. Rösele's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Mediolanum, he bravely continued in the match. Mediolanum increased the lead as A. Počina struck to make the score 6 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Mediolanum's J. Thomas increased the lead to 7 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 81 minutes. Mediolanum enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Mediolanum's best player was N. Barashi. G. Taix was a disappointment, however. M. Portera performed admirably for lostris. However, D. Pisu made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 1.
