GENUA took the lead 2 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.

F. Trocchi on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
M. Melato, who scored for GENUA. 0 - 3
After this, you could see that the players of GENUA were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
J. Hoenderken sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
M. Melato after 21 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 4.
After 25 minutes, GENUA's
E. Ciszewski burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5.
The home crowd was not impressed when
M. Melato came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 34 minutes. GENUA were now up 0 - 6.
At that,
M. Melato was noted down for a hat trick!
The referee showed volante's
S. Serafini the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
F. Trocchi increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 7.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 7.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by GENUA, with 69 percent of the ball.
G. Spoto received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 48 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
GENUA increased their lead after 60 minutes when
J. Hoenderken broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay.
J. Hoenderken received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 68 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 9. The GENUA fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
By then
J. Hoenderken had scored three goals - a hat trick!
After 73 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Q. Batlle who increased GENUA's lead to 0 - 10.
After 74 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
J. Hoenderken a chance to increase the lead for GENUA, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 11.
With 76 minutes played, GENUA put themselves up 0 - 12 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
A. Stav.
GENUA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.
M. Pelucchi performed admirably for volante.
B. Busato was a disappointment, however.
GENUA's top performer was clearly
Q. Batlle.
M. Valdovinos turned in a dismal performance, however.
