LOFE 3 - 0 Djulenica
(367119698)

10-03-2012 13.25
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 44615 to
LOFE Arena.
Thomas Ceulemans was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jorgen Sebastian Kas and
Sol Myers.
LOFE decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Kordjalik - Parsi, das Pontes, Cappa - Yasam, Garví, Primi, Vammen, Rami - Belov, Senner.
A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Djulenica.
Starters: Pećinac - Ganev, Veistola, Ticchiarelli, Južnič, Schwarz - Sultan, Bulliard, Milosavljević - Campione, Herrgott.
LOFE showed off their creative tactics.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Djulenica.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
M. Senner scored for LOFE putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 23 minutes.
F. Cappa's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
With 31 minutes played, LOFE's
M. Senner almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 33 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Djulenica's
A. Schwarz to one side and produced a red card for the player.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
LOFE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
After 48 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
M. Senner might have resulted in another goal for LOFE. However,
S. Pećinac made a spectacular save.
With 49 minutes played, LOFE put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
F. Cappa, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 52 minutes, LOFE did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
H. Rami was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 3 - 0.
The players of LOFE now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
A. Angelov was called on to replace LOFE's
V. Primi after 59 minutes following a nasty collision.
After 63 minutes, following yet another great corner,
J. Garví's flick on at the near post reached
Y. Belov, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick.
After 66 minutes LOFE's
A. Angelov had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony.
S. Yonovski came in to replace him.
LOFE had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.
LOFE's best player was
J. Garví.
On the other hand,
S. Yonovski's play was disheartening.
P. Campione performed admirably for Djulenica.
F. Južnič turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 0.
