Wyatt 0 - 1 Agaton
(367192619)

17-03-2012 13.30
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 42663 to
WEST ARENA.
Abdellah Ibn-Gibril was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ágoston Vizi and
Bruno Grandi.
Wyatt started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Dzień - Kucherov, Ranto, Šenher - Lazăr, Pejović, Stoffel, Zancan, Pinjuh - Miro, Czepułkowski.
Agaton tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Belizón - Zitouni, Stojaković, Lankow - Stigter, Gazpio, Kerschbaumer, Cuell, Mard - Windle, Bebak.
Today, Wyatt's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
Agaton clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
Down the middle came
M. Gazpio, making a fantastic play that nearly had Agaton take the lead after 8 minutes, but
J. Dzień preserved the tie.
19 minutes into the game,
A. Bebak almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
Wyatt's counterattacks created a good chance for
F. Pejović on the right after 20 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.
Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Agaton, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity.
A. Bebak came close to putting the visiting team one up 25 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
J. Dzień managed to tip the ball to a corner.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
Agaton claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
The referee showed Agaton's
A. Bebak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
After 77 minutes, Wyatt's
R. Pinjuh fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
Agaton had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
0 - 1 was the score with 84 minutes played, after
A. Zitouni cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Agaton.
Wyatt had to make a substitution after 84 minutes.
F. Lazăr limped off the field and was replaced by
T. Salolatva.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
R. Šenher from Wyatt a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 88 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Unfortunately for Agaton,
R. Cuell was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
T. Lukesch replaced him.
Possession in this half belonged to Agaton, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.
Wyatt's top performer was clearly
L. Miro.
T. Salolatva on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Agaton's best player was
W. Kerschbaumer.
On the other hand,
K. Stigter's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 1.
