Gros clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. With 2 minutes played L. Isnard almost gave the home side the lead with an unexpected free kick set up, but the visitors' P. Gabat was onto it, grabbing the would be breakthrough ball. After 22 minutes Gros's P. Gabat limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. A penalty was given after 24 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1. J. Szeiler was the scorer. After 30 minutes Gros's R. Camoira had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. H. Geronella came in to replace him. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Gros enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

M. Serfőző could have put his team up another goal 49 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. With 59 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Gros's M. Härsilä reached A. Cotton's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 0 - 2. H. Tönning's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Farolillo's J. Hausner was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 76 minutes. B. Torgomyan was given a chance to change things around. After 79 minutes, Farolillo switched R. Nyklíček with H. Bredfeldt, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Farolillo had a brilliant opportunity to reply as L. Isnard received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only P. Gabat's reflexes saved him. A. Cotton received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Gros fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Gros lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. R. Hauenschild charged down the left and looked sure to score for Farolillo 84 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 85 minutes into the match. J. Szeiler surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. Gros had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating Farolillo player was without a doubt M. Urzáiz. H. Bredfeldt turned in a dismal performance, however. Gros's best player was A. Cotton. However, H. Geronella made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
