It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 31644 that came out to Patatal Universitario. Joop De Kocker was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leopold Dziemiańczuk and Jorma Robertsson. EconomicasPI decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Lineup: Melgarejo - Hanselmann, Almeida, Anđelić, Vytuvis - Stuurman, Constantino, Zámocký, Szklar - Fer, Torhola.

Nottraigan had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Rovasenda - Elbrets, Miranda, Caín - Vangelisti, Ormigo, Van Zandijcke, Mir, Zapfhahn - Marcos Igualada, Békés.

EconomicasPI showed off their creative tactics. With 3 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. S. Ormigo put the ball away for 0 - 1. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why F. Marcos Igualada found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. The home crowd was not impressed when T. Békés came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 20 minutes. Nottraigan were now up 0 - 2. With 27 minutes played, F. Marcos Igualada nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The visitors almost increased their lead after 28 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. EconomicasPI's E. Fer got himself booked for a foul. Unfortunately for Nottraigan, J. Zapfhahn was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. A. Pujolriu replaced him. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Nottraigan enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when L. Stuurman tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. G. Rovasenda was too alert for that! J. Miranda of Nottraigan was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It wasn't a good day at all for S. Ormigo. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Given a free kick close to the byline, EconomicasPI tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let N. Torhola slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 2, 73 minutes into the game. Some fine movement on the left led to a Nottraigan goal after 74 minutes, making it 1 - 3. D. Mir was noted down as the scorer. J. Elbrets sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from D. Mir after 82 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 4. T. Békés acted with superior experience when, 83 minutes into the match, he predicted a pass, intercepted it and then finished off with a goal. 1 - 5 for Nottraigan! After this, you could see that the players of Nottraigan were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 84 minutes, Nottraigan were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. T. Békés did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. With 87 minutes gone, A. Pujolriu suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Nottraigan caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Nottraigan claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

Most important EconomicasPI player was E. Melgarejo. L. Stuurman was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Nottraigan player was without a doubt T. Békés. On the other hand, A. Pujolriu's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 5.
