Monti was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 31 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Z. Neto tried to get a goal back for Sailors but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move. Balomand's O. Arslan was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 35 minutes. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Sailors claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

S. Al-Tahwidi charged down the left and looked sure to score for Sailors 86 minutes into the game, but his shot went just wide. Balomand enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Sailors's best player was S. Al-Tahwidi. On the other hand, S. Villaño's play was disheartening. The most dominating Balomand player was without a doubt G. Monti. G. Scandella was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
