The 22653 spectators at Nou Ratapinyat were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Hilbert Mademer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Erland Tomsen and Beat Casutt. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile G. Kläber. The referee showed Lasmanchas's M. Steffelmaier the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Ratapinyat were forced into a substitution as B. Magnotta couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing B. Ruiz Correa to come in off the bench. Lasmanchas took the lead after 24 minutes making the score 0 - 1. G. Bertelli placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Lasmanchas came close to extending their lead as J. Cabo delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 29 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 30 minutes into the game a free kick by M. van Roosmalen found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Lasmanchas's lead 0 - 2. After the ball was lifted in from the left, J. Eigenmann was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 31 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. With 32 minutes played, B. Ruiz Correa of Ratapinyat fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lasmanchas, with 60 percent of the ball.

With 48 minutes played, Lasmanchas put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Eigenmann. Confident in their lead, Lasmanchas's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. J. López de Haro didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Lasmanchas's M. van Roosmalen made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 65 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. As usual, J. Öhrland tried to use his strength and hard work for the benefit of the team, but the heat hit him hard and he couldn't keep pace at all. 71 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as G. Kläber finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. H. Coque of Ratapinyat received a yellow card after 78 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Ratapinyat's H. Coque managed a superb strike from the left after 79 minutes that would have left goalkeeper J. Aguiar Vale without a chance, had it not hit the post. Lasmanchas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

L. Mörner performed admirably for Ratapinyat. B. Brockhoff was a disappointment, however. Lasmanchas's top performer was clearly G. Kläber. G. D'Alessandro turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
