Stewie were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. The visiting H. Gees was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 4 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. H. Gees increased Stewie's lead to 0 - 2 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. The home crowd was not impressed when S. Farner came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 18 minutes. Stewie were now up 0 - 3. With the scoreboard showing that 31 minutes had been played, Stewie nearly put themselves up another goal after L. Filippou came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Stewie came close to extending their lead as H. Gees delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 33 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Stewie claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

After 51 minutes of game time, G. Quondamatteo had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but R. Mikkelsen was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. As V. Selaru had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the R.Spyder player a red card without batting an eyelid. The R.Spyder captaincy was handed to F. Schutte. 70 minutes into the game a free kick by H. Gees found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making Stewie's lead 0 - 4. That made three goals for H. Gees and he was marked down for the hat trick. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper J. Lundberg and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for R.Spyder, but K. Eichelberger's finish was way too lame. Stewie enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Most important R.Spyder player was A. Rothenfelde. R. Mikkelsen on the other hand, had a terrible day. Stewie's best player was J. Neufeld. On the other hand, J. Lundberg's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
