Inter 4 - 2 Pitote
(367516770)

26-05-2012 15.10
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 24000 that came out to
Las Gaunas.
Emil Moldoveanu was the appointed referee.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Inter.
They fielded: Licata - Mota Prado, Pili, Córdoba - Malanowski, Frankenheim, Könönen, Attema - Cumbis, Wardęcki, Masobello.
Pitote decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Casino - De Schampheleire, Antonsen, Guerrero - Díaz de Casriego, Bond, Gilson, Bascuas, Vinegra - El-Wakili, Koszta.
Pitote used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 5 minutes into the match left Pitote's
M. El-Wakili completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
A. Oliva was called on to replace Pitote's
M. Díaz de Casriego after 12 minutes following a nasty collision.
Pitote players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
A. Oliva came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
A. Licata but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
Pitote's
M. El-Wakili left the field after 33 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
J. Choquet.
R. Antonsen of Pitote took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 34 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2.
At 36 minutes into the game, Inter's
M. Córdoba deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2.
Due to some great work on the right wing Inter's
C. Masobello was able to even the score after 38 minutes to make the score 2 - 2.
Halftime score was 2 - 2.
Inter had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
D. Cumbis scored for Inter putting them ahead 3 - 2, after 66 minutes.
It wasn't a good day at all for
D. Gilson. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
84 minutes in, Pitote's
L. Bond received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 85 minutes,
L. Koszta broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper.
A. Licata made a great block, though.
Inter's
V. Mota Prado increased the lead to 4 - 2, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 86 minutes.
After this, you could see that the players of Inter were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
After 88 minutes Pitote's
D. Gilson contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
Inter enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
The most dominating Inter player was without a doubt
D. Cumbis.
However,
N. Attema made a disastrous appearance.
Pitote's top performer was clearly
L. Bond.
A. Oliva was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 2.
