Walkowiak almost put Jumilla ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. Jumilla put in a good effort on the right, but J. Vaaranne saw his volley fly wide of the mark 37 minutes into the game. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Łukasiak squirmed through their central defence after 38 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. R. Ojeda showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for Gorditos after 41 minutes to make the score 2 - 1. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Jumilla enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

With 51 minutes played, F. Covas could have brought this one home for Jumilla as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Gorditos's R. Ojeda refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 57 minutes. J. Łukasiak found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Jumilla's J. Łukasiak increasing the lead to 3 - 1. G. Rinner of Gorditos received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Jumilla's J. Vaaranne had an excellent opportunity after 73 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! R.
