Vecchia 0 - 5 Infausta
(367614733)

17-03-2012 15.40
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 6302 had shown up at
Posta Vecchia Arena for the match.
Hindrik Verhaagen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jari Fagerholm and
Matti Selenius.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Vecchia.
Starters: Barakaldo - Cases, Villa Calzadilla, Cucaller, Pozo - Pérez, Vitores, Ríos, Iturbide - David, Miura.
Infausta had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Anstaett - Höllriegel, Loja, Possdorff, Ciscar - D'Amico, Alpiger, Bennema, Alnıaçık - Jeon, Werwein.
The visiting
B. Jeon was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 24 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
G. Cucaller of Vecchia received a yellow card after 25 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
G. D'Amico would have put Infausta up another goal 29 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
After 33 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Infausta was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
N. Werwein. At last, Infausta's
H. Alnıaçık was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 2.
After 37 minutes of game time,
V. Ciscar had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
R. Barakaldo was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Infausta's
H. Alnıaçık made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 38 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Possession in this half belonged to Infausta, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
J. Alpiger received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 47 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Infausta fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
By now, the players in Infausta felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
After 59 minutes Vecchia's
I. Pozo contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
The visitors'
W. Höllriegel took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 66 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Infausta.
Infausta came close to extending their lead as
B. Jeon delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 67 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting.
A drive down the left side allowed
G. D'Amico to get in close and score another goal for Infausta after 75 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5.
Infausta enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.
Most important Vecchia player was
S. Miura.
I. Pozo was a disappointment, however.
E. Anstaett performed admirably for Infausta.
On the other hand,
N. Werwein's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 5.
