Dark skies made the crowd of 10877 at
Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan a little nervous, but the rain held off.
George Radu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Volker Leddon and
Łukasz Wojtal.
The derby had been the talk of
Andalucía all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Fone tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Füeg - Subczyński, Alaia, Gallardo, Mestrinho - Oliveira Antunes, Thees, Roczon, Malagrida - García de la Plata, Da Cruz.
Colchonero had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Starters: Armendáriz - Bas, Pérez, Valdivieso, Goiburu - Naji, Velaz, Lukas, Herratiz - Gallón, Foncueva.
Fone displayed their ability to play creatively.
G. Oliveira Antunes sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from
I. García de la Plata after 8 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 0.
After 30 minutes,
G. Roczon put Fone ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Fone's
K. Subczyński increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
J. Foncueva of Colchonero received a yellow card after 32 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Cheers filled the stadium as
T. Thees broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Fone.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Fone tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
G. Da Cruz slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 5 - 0, 40 minutes into the game.
It was 5 - 0 at the break.
Fone claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Fone coach let
L. Peronja replace
T. Thees after 60 minutes.
After 64 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
G. Roczon gave the Fone supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 6 - 0.
Confident in their lead, Fone's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
70 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
F. Malagrida broke through, making the score 7 - 0 for Fone.
Fone's
A. Gallardo increased the lead to 8 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 71 minutes.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
G. Roczon squirmed through their central defence after 77 minutes, increasing the lead to 9 - 0.
That made three goals for
G. Roczon and he was marked down for the hat trick.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Fone to 10 - 0 as
I. García de la Plata finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Fone enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.
Most important Fone player was
I. García de la Plata.
L. Peronja turned in a dismal performance, however.
Colchonero's top performer was clearly
D. Pérez.
M. Armendáriz on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 10 - 0.
