05-05-2012 14.25
Clear skies welcomed the 7577 spectators who had made their way to
Nuevo Golagol.
Matthias Schäffle was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jan Wörndle and
Henk Jan van de Watering.
All of
Barcelona was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby.
Golagolagol started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Vallejo Ortiz - Martínez, Rave, Zúñiga Requesens, Rubio Vega - Esparducer, Elmakayes, de la Venta, Felgoso, Amado - 昌洛 (Changluo).
MVP tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Maestro González - Minucci, Koeth, Izsó - Pivioni, Hastings, Stankov, Casoni, Buştean - Jaquinot, Guasco.
The wings were the focus of most of Golagolagol's attacks today.
MVP immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents.
MVP's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends.
Golagolagol had a chance to take the lead after
A. Amado's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 28 minutes.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
O. Guasco got himself booked. The manager of MVP was not happy.
After 33 minutes,
E. de la Venta came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Golagolagol the lead.
With 35 minutes played, Golagolagol put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
A. Rave, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
By now, the players in Golagolagol felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Golagolagol's
A. Felgoso got himself booked for a foul.
After 43 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to MVP's
D. Buştean being carried off the pitch and replaced by
E. Melo Cunha.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Golagolagol claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.
55 minutes into the game, Golagolagol seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 67 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving
I. Stankov completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper.
孟. 昌洛 (Changluo) left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 70 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
P. Aburuza was the replacement.
Golagolagol's
E. de la Venta was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The referee showed Golagolagol's
L. Zúñiga Requesens the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 79 minute mark, MVP's
R. Izsó hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
The guests got an opportunity to reduce after 81 minutes and
C. Koeth took it from the penalty spot, scoring easily for 2 - 1.
Possession in this half belonged to Golagolagol, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.
Golagolagol's best player was
P. Aburuza.
A. Vallejo Ortiz was a disappointment, however.
MVP's top performer was clearly
A. Jaquinot.
A. Minucci turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 1.
