Riedlsperger almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. With 35 minutes played, M. Gubár of Bratislava fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Nets's M. Ryšavý increasing the lead to 2 - 0. After this, you could see that the players of Nets were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Daňák got himself booked. The manager of Bratislava was not happy. O. Komka of Bratislava got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Nets claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The home side's M. Ryšavý came close to extending the lead 55 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but S. Rumanovský managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. The Bratislava players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. V. Bebej of Bratislava was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The coach of Nets was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes, J. Gonščák came on for S. Ďurčány. Bratislava were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 74 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to O. Fajčák, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. The Nets players could smell victory in the air. Ľ. Nevidzan wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Zdražil after 85 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nets, with 57 percent of the ball.

Most important Nets player was M. Ryšavý. V. Turbač was a disappointment, however. Bratislava's best player was S. Rumanovský. On the other hand, T. Sakhno's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
