Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 16942 at Blankó Arena today. Moritz Brauer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fredrik Cederholt and Bei Cheng Xing. Blankó had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Kuumola - Jámbor, Strecht, Renaud - Melssen, Czompó, Bozóky, Hagenah, Kocsák - Hirzer, Zalavári.

The wings were the focus of most of Blankó's attacks today. Blankó's Á. Zalavári showed his experience, anticipating the outcome of the opponent's defensive clearance and positioning himself perfectly to volley in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box. 1 - 0. The home team will be cursing Á. Szépi for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 1 - 1 after 21 minutes. The terraces were silenced after 24 minutes when ipomszky's B. Fülep put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right. With 33 minutes played, ipomszky put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was B. Szilágyi. Á. Szépi of ipomszky took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 38 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 4. 1 - 4 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to ipomszky, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by M. Hagenah. At last, Blankó's C. Bozóky was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 4. With 57 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed K. Sztankó of ipomszky to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 5. With 58 minutes played, A. Vad of ipomszky fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Budaházi from ipomszky a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A. Renaud of Blankó had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. M. Edenborough came in to finish the match. Some fine movement on the left led to a ipomszky goal after 77 minutes, making it 2 - 6. A. Budaházi was noted down as the scorer. By now, the players in ipomszky felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. R. Melssen fired a shot from distance after 78 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Blankó. The home crowd was not impressed when M. Pflanzner came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 79 minutes. ipomszky were now up 2 - 7. After 83 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed D. Birinyi to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 2 - 8. ipomszky enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Z. Hirzer performed admirably for Blankó. However, M. Edenborough made a disastrous appearance. ipomszky's top performer was clearly K. Sztankó. K. Ladó was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 8.
