A scorching day at fishly Park, where 17909 spectators were in place for today's match. Arjan Erkens was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Franz Baumlin and César Chueca. It was an obvious ambition of Solmsbach to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Amisia's T. Santasalmi gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 22 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Solmsbach's G. D'Affronto had a hard, curved free kick after 35 minutes that would have paid off, had it gone just a little lower. With 36 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Amisia resulted in a counterattack that set T. Santasalmi free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. C. Nae came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over L. Lilliu but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Solmsbach, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Solmsbach's coach gave E. Borel the opportunity the player had been hoping for. A. Ribeiro reluctantly left the field. You could feel the tension in the crowd after the referee awarded the home side a penalty kick and a chance to equalise. Sadly, G. D'Affronto's shot sailed wide of the goal. A. Novak received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 65 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. It wasn't a good day at all for S. Neyret. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. With 71 minutes played, Amisia put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Caltabiano. 74 minutes into the game Solmsbach broke through on the left wing and A. Baptista managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 75 minutes, Amisia tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. After 77 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed T. Santasalmi to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. With 78 minutes played, S. Neyret was very close to reducing the score for Solmsbach with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. L. Kramoliš stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving Amisia the goal to make it 1 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of Amisia were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Solmsbach claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Solmsbach's top performer was clearly F. Matejak. W. Nackaerts turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Amisia player was M. Gnap. However, N. Dallendörfer made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 4.
