(369398815)

26-05-2012 19.00
8914 spectators had found their way to
TSV Rohrbach Arena, despite the heavy rain.
Albert Coburn was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Niels Knudsen and
Erik Philosoph.
Rohrbach had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
They fielded: Partsch - Listerscheid, Witz, Sagl, Klopfer - Sammüller, Schreer, Lüddecke, Buhrmann - Etzdorf, Heimgartner.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Dingsda.
Starters: Brutscher - Sarıçam, Püttlingen, Winterkorn, Ensinger - Ginskey, Dopler, Kopal, Kaltenbeck - Beugger, Schmiedeberg.
A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 14 minutes led to Dingsda's
H. Sarıçam giving the visitors the lead 0 - 1.
L. Buhrmann's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
T. Sammüller was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Rohrbach. 1 - 1.
19 minutes into the game,
T. Sammüller finished off a Rohrbach left wing counterattack, making the score 2 - 1.
H. Sarıçam came close to levelling the score 31 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post.
37 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 2 - 2 as
D. Winterkorn struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right.
A well placed corner kick from
E. Listerscheid was followed by
D. Sagl's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Rohrbach, the score now 3 - 2.
With 41 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after
D. Ginskey came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 2.
Dingsda had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.
Dingsda levelled the score after 56 minutes to make it 3 - 3, as
L. Ensinger struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked.
L. Buhrmann did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch.
P. Beugger came close to putting the visiting team one up 62 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
C. Partsch managed to tip the ball to a corner.
S. Püttlingen was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions.
Dingsda's
D. Ginskey gave the visitors a 3 - 4 lead after 86 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
T. Kopal received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 87 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 3 - 5. The Dingsda fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Dingsda, with 55 percent of the ball.
Most important Rohrbach player was
L. Buhrmann.
C. Etzdorf was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Dingsda player was without a doubt
P. Beugger.
On the other hand,
O. Brutscher's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 5.
