Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 27252 to Geração a Rasca Sec XXI. Petter Högsten was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bastian Treiber and Marco Gonçalves. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for UDN. Starters: Vila - Santos Conceição, Laborinho, Jota, Scherm - Brugger, Fernandes, Limon, Queiroga, Lopes Santos - Capelinha.

SCTV started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: Schwer - Teles de Sousa, Mangini, Glapa, Azevedo - Chyłaszek, Vargas, Kaczanowski, Sauvage - Pomponio, Mainis.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for SCTV. 15 minutes into the game, UDN's N. Limon surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to L. Brugger who easily found the back of the net, making the score 1 - 0. 33 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as J. Jota broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for UDN. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. UDN claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.

The visitors got one back when M. Mainis finished off a pass from the left and scored after 78 minutes. 2 - 1 was the score. With 80 minutes played, G. Pomponio came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by SCTV. L. Brugger could have put UDN up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 85 minutes. UDN's J. Jota got himself booked for a foul. UDN had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

UDN's top performer was clearly H. Vila. H. Scherm was a disappointment, however. The most dominating SCTV player was without a doubt B. Kaczanowski. M. Mainis turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
