previous 1/10 next 3/10  Mendes 0 - 3 Mithrado (370750238)

Clear skies welcomed the 21325 spectators who had made their way to United Arena. Iustin Melinte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Łukasz Kózka and Franjo Honović. Mendes tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. Lineup: Hirtenlehner - Toso, Kırık, Tordeurs, Ditaranto - Cabal, Kalb, Pischinger, Settgast, Jovanovic - Muolo.

Mithrado had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Neves Fernandes - Gierula, Dietzel, Hunt - Collingwood, Lapko, van der Staay, Bravo, Fiori - Dinkelmann, Nunes Pires.

Today, Mithrado's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Mithrado's V. Lapko managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 19 minutes. 0 - 1. V. Lapko caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but Mendes's A. Cabal's shot went just wide. Some fine movement on the left led to a Mithrado goal after 29 minutes, making it 0 - 2. C. Dinkelmann was noted down as the scorer. Mendes's F. Jovanovic had a nice free kick routine after 35 minutes that was very close to paying off, had it not been for a dramatic save by the visitors' keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

47 minutes in, Mendes's H. Settgast received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. E. Fiori received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 52 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Mithrado fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players of Mithrado now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mendes, with 53 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Mendes player was without a doubt E. Pischinger. E. Hirtenlehner turned in a dismal performance, however. Mithrado's best player was C. Dinkelmann. On the other hand, V. Neves Fernandes's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 3.
