The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 35723 had shown up at
Bishkek Arena for the match.
Isaac Briceño was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dieter Dinger and
Torben Mangold.
The derby had been the talk of
Bishkek all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.

K. Kilius's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition.
With 33 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.

The home crowd cheered when, after 37 minutes,
A. Tarkowski's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.

Bishkek enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
L. Šifta made a superb strike after 47 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner.

Asanbai players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
N. Graule received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 64 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The Asanbai fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
After this, you could see that the players of Asanbai were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
