The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 35723 had shown up at Bishkek Arena for the match. Isaac Briceño was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dieter Dinger and Torben Mangold. Šifta made a superb strike after 47 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. 56 minutes into the match, Bishkek's L. Šifta demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to F. Filianoti who chipped it in for 1 - 1. Asanbai took the lead after M.
