11-03-2012 11.45
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1762 to
Spaartaakus Rejowiec.
Grigas Čebatoras was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Emanuel Ostatný and
Rickard Börjesson.
Everyone was excited about the upcoming
Lubelskie derby and the crowd was divided evenly.
Spaartaakus decided to use a 4-4-1 set up.
The following players took the field: Szczytko - Danielak, Radaszkiewicz, Franiel, Momm - Berent, Waloszczyk, Kuberski, Zabawski - Chochowski.
KSIĘŻPOL started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Traba - Dilinatos, Meutstege, Carbotta, Iovieno - Dobroiu, Panov, Van Woensel, Słomiński - Podda, Chiujdea.
The wings were the focus of most of Spaartaakus's attacks today.
KSIĘŻPOL were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
28 minutes into the game, Spaartaakus seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
N. Podda got himself booked. The manager of KSIĘŻPOL was not happy.
Spaartaakus could have put themselves ahead after 38 minutes but
J. Kuberski missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
I. Chiujdea was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 43 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
It was 0 - 0 at the break.
KSIĘŻPOL had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Spaartaakus had
solid organisation.
After 71 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Spaartaakus found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
79 minutes in, KSIĘŻPOL's
N. Van Woensel received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
80 minutes into the game, Spaartaakus had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
At 89 minutes played,
Z. Zabawski came in from the right with the intention of giving Spaartaakus the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
It was obvious that KSIĘŻPOL had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Coming in from the right, KSIĘŻPOL had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 89 minutes, but
G. Carbotta's attempt to finish was easily stopped.
KSIĘŻPOL claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Spaartaakus's top performer was clearly
J. Chochowski.
J. Kuberski was a disappointment, however.
Most important KSIĘŻPOL player was
J. Słomiński.
N. Dobroiu on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 0.
