Kania tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Majdziński - Malanowski, Vredenbregt, Papini - Kleba, Błachucki, Łastowski, Kadela, Palud - Środa, Pauś.

united fans held their breath as J. Szwajka scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! united increased the lead as W. Kłukowski struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. united solidified their lead at the 23 minute mark, as M. Czemiel dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0. Ater 28 minutes D. Błachucki seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Kania making it 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. united enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

united made it 4 - 1 as B. Szymaniuk got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to P. Kantorowski who whipped a low drive in off the far post. With 49 minutes played, M. Kadela had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. E. Papini nearly reduced the lead 71 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by B. Wrótniak prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. K. Stolz squirmed through their central defence after 73 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 1. At this point, it was obvious that the players of united lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Kania fought on and, after 81 minutes, G. Środa was able to reduce the deficit to 5 - 2 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Z. Mędrek could have increased the lead after 84 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by united, with 51 percent of the ball.

B. Szymaniuk performed admirably for united. On the other hand, B. Wrótniak's play was disheartening. Kania's best player was I. Łastowski. L. Majdziński turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 2.
