Clouds darkened the skies at
Tuna Stadium as 38911 spectators turned up for the match.
Guerric Pique was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dietger von der Lieth and
Petrus Knölling.
Tuna tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Lindhström - Damjanović, Fjelfeldt, Dan - Euverman, Runesson, Pettersson, Kullenér, Schmidhauser - Sokołowski, Nygård.
Göteve decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
They fielded: Öhrdahl - Sandflod, Thörnling, Örnhall, Bonvallet, Strandtorp - Holmbom, Roddahl, Leijonkvist, Bergman - Sjölin.
M. Damjanović caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 4 minutes. This gave Tuna the 1 - 0 lead.
29 minutes in, Göteve's
J. Örnhall received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
N. Dan. At last, Tuna's
M. Damjanović was able to backheel the ball in. 2 - 0.
By now, the players in Tuna felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Tuna tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
J. Sokołowski slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 0, 41 minutes into the game.
With 43 minutes played, Tuna's
P. Nygård almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
Tuna enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Tuna coach let
H. Höhnel replace
J. Sokołowski after 46 minutes.
M. Schmidhauser could have increased the lead after 49 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
W. Bergman nearly reduced the lead 57 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by
J. Lindhström prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net.
Tuna put in a good effort on the right, but
J. Runesson saw his volley fly wide of the mark 58 minutes into the game.
H. Höhnel could have put Tuna up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 68 minutes.
After 70 minutes Tuna's
M. Damjanović limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue.
Tuna increased the lead as
M. Schmidhauser struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Tuna claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.
Tuna's best player was
P. Nygård.
However,
P. Fjelfeldt made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating Göteve player was without a doubt
T. Sjölin.
On the other hand,
W. Bergman's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
