Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Constant Vandenstock stadion saw a crowd turnout of 12091. Wodka's R. Svinth was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 20 minutes. I. Ivanovs of Wodka was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Wodka claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

A well placed corner kick from C. Gripengård was followed by R. Ginko's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Wodka, the score now 0 - 2. The referee showed Wodka's F. Memeo the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Wodka came close to extending their lead as G. Meuret delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 53 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. The visitors added to their lead 63 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Wodka's C. Gripengård slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3. After 75 minutes of game time, R. Svinth had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but J. Hurkmans was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Coming in from the right, Anderlecht had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 76 minutes, but Z. van Hemert's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Wodka's R. Verhamme refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 77 minutes. The referee signalled a penalty 79 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. C. Gripengård knocked it home to make the score 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Wodka lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Wodka had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

T. Lalmand performed admirably for Anderlecht. J. Hurkmans was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Wodka player was without a doubt T. Vanderstraeten. D. Ríos López on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 4.
