Clouds darkened the skies at FCB De Zuipers Arena as 8561 spectators turned up for the match. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Van Der Stichel from Zuipers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 35 minutes, L. Limpens put Zuipers ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Zuipers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

C. Burlet struck a 30 metre free kick home 54 minutes into the match. 4 - 0 for the home team. Confident in their lead, Zuipers's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Coming from the right, L. Limpens almost managed to score another goal for Zuipers, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, F. Evrard got himself booked. The manager of Zuipers was not happy. A great save by keeper B. De Plukker after 66 minutes kept the visitors in the game after L. Limpens struck from the left with a real cannonball. H. De Baets should probably have put his team up another goal after 71 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by B. De Plukker kept the visitors in the game. Zuipers managed to extend their lead to 5 - 0 when C. Turkan cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Possession in this half belonged to Zuipers, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

F. Evrard performed admirably for Zuipers. J. Brussich was a disappointment, however. VALMOSAN's top performer was clearly D. Simoen. G. Bisback on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
