Vejen 4 - 3 Strainteam (373895906)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 42391 to Vejen Epoke. Echedey Benito was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Waldemar Piffaretti and Lukas Andersson. The score was then 0 - 2. 33 minutes into the game, Vejen seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. It took several tries, but Vejen managed to break through on the left after 36 minutes, getting the ball to U. Balle Larsen who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2. After 37 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Vejen found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vejen, with 55 percent of the ball.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Vejen was able to get his message across, and raised Vejen's organisation to solid. E. Verbaan caught everyone off guard with a great opening pass - but unfortunately T. Stadsholt was as surprised by the move as anybody else, and managed to miss the extraordinary opportunity. After 72 minutes, L. Frost sent the corner kick right to R. Thorning who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 2! After 76 minutes, the Strainteam coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving S. Vildners off the field. F. Noor took his place. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, M. Ustad took over the role of being the Strainteam captain. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when E. Bontemps was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 85 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! Vejen fans held their breath as T. Stadsholt scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! After 87 minutes, R. Thorning put Vejen ahead 4 - 2 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. The home team's fans were upset when, after 89 minutes, the visiting X. Denieul broke through the central defence and kicked the ball past the keeper. 4 - 3 was the score. 89 minutes in, Vejen's R. Jovanović received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 89 minutes into the game, Vejen seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. Vejen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating Vejen player was without a doubt K. Bukhave. E. Verbaan was a disappointment, however. Strainteam's best player was X. Denieul. M. Ustad on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 3.
