Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 7 minutes into the match, and S. Bardill wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. 23 minutes in, and Piecken! were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when P. Wakker picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. Piecken! took the lead 26 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as T. Zoetemelk elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Piecken! had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

After 51 minutes, R. Rautio sent the corner kick right to B. Derman who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 2! D. Black caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 52 minutes. This gave Piecken! the 3 - 2 lead. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Valmo's A. Atanasov put the ball in the onion bag after 61 minutes to make it 3 - 3. J. Rivas would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. A. Sõber entered the game for Piecken! as the match clock showed 65 minutes. 67 minutes into the game, P. Wakker had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Helmer. T. Zoetemelk was handed the Piecken! captain's armband. 70 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Piecken! substitution. R. Svensson came on for D. Birner. With 71 minutes played, J. Moura Silva of Piecken! fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 73 minutes into the match and the home team took a 4 - 3 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Piecken! was A.
