Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 41967 at Orgasm Stadium today. MarkPaul Verkerk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Leif Sand and Simão Sabrosa. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Drejev. 18 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Bellybutton was J. Reker. T. Wijsenbeek could have increased the lead after 31 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. With 34 minutes gone, J. Baier suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Drejev caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. J. Reker almost put Bellybutton ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. Drejev almost scored after a counterattack 38 minutes into the match, but F. Kozachenko took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Bellybutton's J. Reker left the field after 39 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was K. Bojsen. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Bellybutton had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

After 58 minutes Drejev tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, F. Kozachenko's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. With 59 minutes played, V. Lacourte could have brought this one home for Bellybutton as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. With the clock showing 60 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Drejev resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by J. Fransz in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. K. Puzsár's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from J. Ćurković's shot from the left 64 minutes into the match. L. Klinckenberg increased the lead for Bellybutton to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! L. Klinckenberg wanted to play on, but the Bellybutton coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by D. van der Vlis. Possession in this half belonged to Bellybutton, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

Bellybutton's best player was T. Wijsenbeek. On the other hand, K. Bojsen's play was disheartening. The most dominating Drejev player was without a doubt J. Fransz. A. Grönen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
