After 25 minutes, A. Amorocho got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. E. Mashiach made a superb strike after 28 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. D. Maxant knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 0 - 2 after 29 minutes. The players of Team890 now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Team890's M. Ljungbratt was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 37 minutes. P. Sörensson challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 38 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it. With 42 minutes played, V. Arief of Team890 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Álvarez from Team890 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 0 - 2. Indigentes had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

R. Hasnain got a fingertip on A. Gallardo's shot from the left 61 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Indigentes's M. Hortúa got himself booked for a foul. A. Álvarez's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Team890, he bravely continued in the match. The Team890 players could smell victory in the air. A. Gallardo wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for O. Auerbacher after 70 minutes. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Team890 coach let B. Smythe replace D. Maxant after 70 minutes. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, O. Auerbacher took over the role of being the Team890 captain. Indigentes had a brilliant opportunity to reply as M. Hortúa received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only J. Cánepa's reflexes saved him. After 72 minutes, the defensive line of Team890 created a counterattack through the middle that gave O. Auerbacher a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when J. Boixaderas scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Indigentes, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

A. Amorocho performed admirably for Indigentes. M. Hockel turned in a dismal performance, however. Team890's top performer was clearly B. Smythe. However, M. Ljungbratt made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 2.
