The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 36000 had shown up at FK Babri Arena for the match. Yona Saadon was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alfonz Makay and Vincent Van Hoorde. The guests almost went up by a goal after 18 minutes when I. Gurķītis came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. After 19 minutes Babri tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, E. Čīča's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 26 minutes allowed F. Paurs to score for ANGELS. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. The referee showed Babri's E. Čīča the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. F. Gruttadauria of ANGELS took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 29 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of ANGELS lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. A drive down the left side allowed I. Gurķītis to get in close and score another goal for ANGELS after 32 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. Halftime score was 0 - 3. ANGELS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

G. Bossin was, after 57 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper Ē. Vankovskis made the save. 70 minutes into the match, F. Rummer came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The home keeper was stunned 78 minutes into the match when he misjudged the free kick by A. Gurmendi and dived in the wrong direction. The visitors increased the lead to 0 - 4. With 82 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed G. Bergagna of ANGELS to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to ANGELS, who controlled the ball 79 percent of the time.

Babri's top performer was clearly E. Čīča. Ē. Vankovskis was a disappointment, however. ANGELS's best player was F. Paurs. However, G. Bossin made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 5.
