(377316921)

14-03-2012 14.00
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 21113 to
Dolno Arena.
Burkhard Kaster was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Rob Hodinius and
Tito Focardi.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Návojná.
Lineup: Reményi - Webern, Berter, Kučera, Bernardin - Sallai, Sina, Marcelli, Čokić, van Baerle - Rauscher.
Xaverov tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Tatara - Venakis, Makšeckas, Gonser - Vatandoust, Bak Jensen, Whitaker, Antony, Moesgaard - Vanloon, Husák.
Návojná clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
The guests took the lead 21 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
Z. Husák scoring to make it 0 - 1.
The home crowd was not impressed when
W. Vanloon came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 26 minutes. Xaverov were now up 0 - 2.
The visitors'
k. Vatandoust took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 40 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Xaverov.
With 41 minutes played,
S. Bernardin of Návojná fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
W. Vanloon's lightning pace was too much for
C. Berter who could only look on as the Xaverov player blasted one home. 0 - 4.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
N. Moesgaard would have put Xaverov up another goal 43 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
It was 0 - 4 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Xaverov, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Xaverov coach let
C. Ben-David replace
T. Tatara after 46 minutes.
Xaverov's
H. Gonser made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 48 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
S. Bernardin's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence.
F. Whitaker received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 69 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Xaverov fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Xaverov lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
S. Bernardin almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.
With 74 minutes played, Xaverov put themselves up 0 - 6 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Z. Husák.
Xaverov had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
Návojná's best player was
Á. Rauscher.
On the other hand,
V. Čokić's play was disheartening.
Most important Xaverov player was
I. Antony.
However,
N. Moesgaard made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 6.
