Kundera 4 - 1 BACAES

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2480 that came out to Stapar Arena. After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, Kundera decided to go with a 5-4-1 formation. Lineup: Papalino - Majstorović, Majstorović, Višňa, Stokić, Antalfai - Kažić, Bilić, Kolaković, Ljubanović - Nikolla.

The head coach flashed hand signals from the sideline and BACAES formed up in a 5-4-1 combination. Let's hope the opposing sideline wasn't filming that. The following players had been selected: Engelbert - Trávníček, Sperr, Terrien, Kožulj, Daecke - Yepes, Pinto, Raicu, Schmatz - Morente.

Like the adage "bend but don't break", BACAES will rely on their outstanding ability to counter-attack today. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty awarded after 6 minutes. Despite the controversy, C. Raicu stayed cool and struck it nicely, giving the visitors the 0 - 1 lead The Kundera free kick 26 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But it was no mistake - M. Višňa seemingly came out of nowhere and had miles of space to control the ball and pick his spot. That's 1 - 1! 1 - 1 was the score after the first half. Kundera were doing a good job holding on to the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the match, the BACAES manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged. The coach of BACAES wanted to try to mix things up after 46 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. With 65 minutes gone, the home side took a 2 - 1 lead as A. Nikolla raced down the right flank and casually flipped the ball into the net after a searing cross from the far side of the pitch. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why S. Majstorović found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. F. Antalfai didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. Kundera's D. Stokić was delighted to score as he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing keeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing. 3 - 1 after 80 minutes. After 85 minutes, BACAES substituted K. Schmatz for J. Korschewitz, hoping for a quick impact on the field. After 87 minutes, M. Ljubanović put Kundera ahead 4 - 1 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Confident in their lead, Kundera's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 88 minutes on the clock after A. Nikolla's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Kundera player a yellow card though. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, BACAES's P. Pinto was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the field after 89 minutes. D. Guitio was given a chance to change things around. BACAES needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 89 minutes R. Yepes made way for A. Januário. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Kundera, with an impressive 51 percent possession of the ball.

Kundera's best player was A. Nikolla. Good thing M. Višňa isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. D. Guitio performed admirably for BACAES. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by W. Daecke today. The match ends 4 - 1.
