previous 7/10 next 9/10  Staszki 5 - 0 KOCÓRY (377456743)

The crowd of 794 turning up at 71wiadroTerror today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Jan Igelskär was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marcus ''Jöppa'' Apelholt and Eric Devillers. Staszki decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players took the field: Grecco - Danielczyk, Yücel - Pacanowski, Küçükbilezikçi, Kęski, Knieć, Bystrowski - Fularczyk, Goranov, Cedzyński.

KOCÓRY started off with a 4-3-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Poliński - Czosnyka, Porowski, Talaga, Sielawa - Wolski, Gapski, Rychliński - Abramczuk, Szabados, Filipiuk.

The wings were the focus of most of Staszki's attacks today. KOCÓRY clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. It was a bad day for the usually speedy M. Sielawa. The mud seemed to slow him down. After 9 minutes, B. Fularczyk came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Staszki the lead. Cheers filled the stadium as B. Kęski broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Staszki. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Staszki to 3 - 0 as A. Goranov finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. A. Goranov had a fantastic opportunity to put Staszki up another goal 38 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game KOCÓRY managed a counterattack, but Z. Szabados took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Given a free kick close to the byline, Staszki tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let F. Danielczyk slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 4 - 0, 40 minutes into the game. The players of Staszki now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Staszki's T. Küçükbilezikçi got himself booked for a foul. KOCÓRY were forced into a substitution as W. Porowski couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing M. Bączyk to come in off the bench. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Staszki claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

The coach of Staszki was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, G. Ellrichshausen came on for A. Yücel. C. Cedzyński wanted to play on, but the Staszki coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by P. Kozionov. KOCÓRY almost scored after a counterattack 48 minutes into the match, but M. Sielawa took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Staszki had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, KOCÓRY's W. Wolski was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 60 minutes. S. Kurzępa was given a chance to change things around. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Staszki coach let J. Lacour replace A. Goranov after 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, the defensive line of KOCÓRY created a counterattack through the middle that gave Z. Szabados a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 66 minutes into the game, KOCÓRY had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. P. Poliński was caught napping as B. Fularczyk lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. KOCÓRY's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 68 minutes gone, but A. Filipiuk's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 77 minutes in, KOCÓRY appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak. Staszki increased the lead as P. Kozionov struck to make the score 5 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. With 79 minutes played, W. Gapski of KOCÓRY fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Possession in this half belonged to Staszki, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

Most important Staszki player was B. Kęski. J. Lacour was a disappointment, however. P. Poliński performed admirably for KOCÓRY. L. Abramczuk on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
