Clear skies welcomed the 33601 spectators who had made their way to Adders FC Arena. Philibert Jules was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Oriol Burón and Duco Swartjes. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 30 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from J. Vega Téllez, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Adders's F. Couturier increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The visitors replied 41 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 2 - 1, as D. Grimshaw dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. Given a free kick close to the byline, Porterville tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let G. McManus slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 2 - 2, 42 minutes into the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Porterville, with 55 percent of the ball.

After a fine move down the middle N. Olofsson nearly gave the home side a goal after 47 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. After 49 minutes, the Adders coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving L. Huon off the field. J. Aguilera Vaqués took his place. Many thought N. Olofsson ought to have been awarded a penalty 58 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around P. Landais after a determined run through the middle. As the 60 minute mark approached, the Adders coach decided it was time for a substitution. N. Olofsson reluctantly made way for A. Tylki on the pitch. The crowd gasped as M. Styk of Porterville was flattened by an opponent after 60 minutes and had to be carried off. E. Covinha came in off the bench. J. Vega Téllez showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for Adders after 66 minutes to make the score 3 - 2. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Porterville's C. Periquito was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. A. Tingas was given a chance to change things around. After 75 minutes, Porterville switched D. Grimshaw with L. Prešnjak, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The home side failed to add to their score as P. Figueres shot a penalty wide after 77 minutes. Adders's I. Malagrida swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. After 79 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after A. Tingas made it through the middle and struck home to make it 3 - 3. Porterville had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. After 102 minutes of play, I. Malagrida gave the home team a 4 - 3 lead after an attack coming in from the right. What a dramatic win for Adders! Adders's top performer was clearly A. Tylki. However, R. Barrera made a disastrous appearance. L. Prešnjak performed admirably for Porterville. J.
