Barquera gave Avayanos the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Fesj made sure of not letting L. Ngọc Lâm succeed with his speed. When an opportunity appeared for him, as it did 30 minutes into the game, speedy E. Antunes came to the rescue and stopped the attack. Avayanos's P. Fesj were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. 80 minutes into the game Fesj managed a counterattack, but S. Portugal took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Some things can only be learned through experience, and H. Carvalho Morais should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Avayanos a goal with 89 minutes of the match played. Avayanos were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 89 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by C. Lupi might have resulted in another goal for Avayanos. However, R. Fiori made a spectacular save. Possession in this half belonged to Avayanos, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
