2200 punters turned up at The battle field, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Danilo Olarte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Egmont Csintalan and Enzo Coniglio. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Emperors. The following players took the field: Brendli - Beets, Konraad, Rzońca - de Deus, Everett, Căruntu, Paugam - Zwaaf, van Bronckhorst, Jol.

Fehmarn decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players had been chosen: Gassenmeyer - Weinfurter, Casula, Lauweh - Gstöttner, Skrętkowicz, Hucken, Höpfner - Schimmer, Kremlev, Conter.

They were singing the praises of S. Beets 16 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Emperors. N. Zwaaf could have increased the lead after 25 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 30 minutes into the game, A. Kremlev had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came B. Baierle. After 38 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Paugam might have resulted in another goal for Emperors. However, F. Gassenmeyer made a spectacular save. S. Paugam should probably have put his team up another goal after 39 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by F. Gassenmeyer kept the visitors in the game. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Emperors, with 71 percent of the ball.

After 46 minutes, Fehmarn switched P. Weinfurter with U. Eschweiler, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Emperors to 2 - 0 as S. van Bronckhorst finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Emperors managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when E. Jol cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After this, you could see that the players of Emperors were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Fehmarn's E. Gstöttner was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 58 minutes. C. Piereth was given a chance to change things around. After 65 minutes, B. de Deus put Emperors ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. S. Beets's lack of experience almost gave Fehmarn a goal after 66 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. When D. Höpfner left the game because of a back injury after 69 minutes, Fehmarn had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements. R. Everett almost put Emperors ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. Emperors's C. Konraad saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 75 minutes. N. Zwaaf had a fantastic opportunity to put Emperors up another goal 82 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Emperors enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Emperors's best player was R. Everett. C. Konraad on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Fehmarn player was T. Schimmer. However, I. Skrętkowicz made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.
