2200 fans turned up at The battle field, and despite threatening clouds, no rain came. Danilo Olarte was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Egmont Csintalan and Enzo Coniglio. Gentlemen prefer blondes and Emperors prefers a 3-4-3. Let's see how this plays out for them. The following players took the field: Brendli - Beets, Konraad, Rzońca - de Deus, Everett, Căruntu, Paugam - Zwaaf, van Bronckhorst, Jol.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, Fehmarn decided to go with a 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been selected: Gassenmeyer - Weinfurter, Casula, Lauweh - Gstöttner, Skrętkowicz, Hucken, Höpfner - Schimmer, Kremlev, Conter.

After 16 minutes cheers broke out as S. Beets found his way through the guests' central defensive line, rattling the 1 - 0 goal in off the woodwork for Emperors. N. Zwaaf was not content with his team's lead, and tried to extend it 25 minutes into the game after a nice run through the middle, but his shot went wide. 30 minutes into the game, A. Kremlev had to leave the field due to a knee injury. In came B. Baierle. After 38 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Paugam might have resulted in another goal for Emperors. However, F. Gassenmeyer made a spectacular save. S. Paugam should probably have put his team up another goal after 39 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by F. Gassenmeyer kept the visitors in the game. Halftime score was 1 - 0. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Emperors, with an impressive 71 percent possession of the ball.

After 46 minutes, Fehmarn substituted P. Weinfurter for U. Eschweiler, hoping for a quick impact on the field. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Emperors's lead to 2 - 0 as S. van Bronckhorst finished it off clinically, firing the shot from a terrible angle. Emperors managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when E. Jol slid in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After this, you could see that Emperors's players were mostly interested in killing time and holding on to their lead. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Fehmarn's E. Gstöttner was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the field after 58 minutes. C. Piereth was given a chance to change things around. After 65 minutes, B. de Deus put Emperors ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Was that a pass or a bad touch? Either way, the inexperienced S. Beets almost gave Fehmarn a goal, but luckily they couldn't capitalize on the mistake. Fehmarn's D. Höpfner made a magnificent block to avoid a goal. Sadly for him, he's not the goalie and he had to use his face for the heroic effort. It left him bleeding from the nose and also with a certain concussion. To add insult to injury, there were no more available substitutions! R. Everett almost put Emperors ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. Emperors's C. Konraad saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 75 minutes in. N. Zwaaf had a fantastic opportunity to put Emperors up another goal 82 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Emperors set the tempo, maintaining 70 percent of possession.

Emperors's best player was R. Everett. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by C. Konraad today. Most important Fehmarn player was T. Schimmer. Good thing I. Skrętkowicz isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. The match ends 4 - 0.
