(378431102)

18-04-2012 17.20
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Het voetbalpaleis saw a crowd turnout of 3733.
Billy Dylan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Beda Dessouslavy and
Alexander Stuckrad.
Molegraaf decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
Lineup: van Loon - Alders, Fornaro - Tideman, Fornari, Bamberg, Manceau, Öberg - Luyckx, Thijssen, Henke.
MECHA had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Oğuş - Botezatu, Calabrese, Gidor - Grenga, Hohenberger, Belka, Khalhat, Estelik - Peralta, Hundertwasser.
Molegraaf showed off their creative tactics.
MECHA used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
T. Alders was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by
P. Fornari, but the ball bounced off the post to safety.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of MECHA's
T. Gidor after 18 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
Molegraaf's
P. Henke was shown a yellow card after 24 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
32 minutes into the game,
A. Luyckx came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar.
Molegraaf tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play.
39 minutes in, Molegraaf's
J. Thijssen received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
G. Calabrese was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so MECHA's
M. Hérail had to come off the bench.
It was 0 - 1 at the break.
Molegraaf claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
R. Belka hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving MECHA's
T. Estelik an easy chance to knock it in for 0 - 2.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of MECHA lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
After a short break after 54 minutes, MECHA seemed to change their tactical approach a bit.
In the lead, MECHA adjusted their style of play with 60 minutes gone.
After 60 minutes, the MECHA players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game.
In an effort to secure the lead, MECHA changed their tactic after 60 minutes.
It took several tries, but Molegraaf managed to break through on the left after 78 minutes, getting the ball to
Y. Tideman who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2.
P. Fornari was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Molegraaf with a strike from the left, but
A. Oğuş managed to ward the shot off for a corner.
R. Bamberg charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Molegraaf, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
Molegraaf had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
Most important Molegraaf player was
J. Thijssen.
On the other hand,
E. Fornaro's play was disheartening.
The most dominating MECHA player was without a doubt
G. Hundertwasser.
E. Khalhat was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 2.
