Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile T. Gelb. 44 minutes into the match, R. Pieren came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to POLOMIE, who controlled the ball 80 percent of the time.

POLOMIE were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. POLOMIE's V. Rangelov was shown a yellow card after 54 minutes for slicing down an opponent. POLOMIE had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Confident in their lead, POLOMIE's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. POLOMIE enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.
