Dark skies made the crowd of 626 at Independència a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ralph Zondervan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Koni Bärlocher and Olli-Matti Pahkasalo. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Independència. Starters: 顺龙 (Shunlong) - Schnebli, 恒民 (Hengdi), Nastasić, Hjelm - Bárcenas, Busquets, Giribet, Fornitto - Badea, Adell.

OUTES decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Toquero - Chlebek, Czerwczak, Rettich - Massenzio, Kaiserslautern, Frerichs, Cîrnu, Kesterman - Martin, Lunde.

This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when P. Massenzio slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against 王. 顺龙 (Shunlong), but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. 28 minutes in, Independència's J. Busquets received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of OUTES, as A. Rettich left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. D. Nan took his place on the field. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Hjelm got himself booked. The manager of Independència was not happy. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 31 minutes into the match, and T. Lunde wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors. M. Chlebek of OUTES seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by T. Lunde. Confident in their lead, OUTES's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when A. Hjelm tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. F. Toquero was too alert for that! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Cîrnu from OUTES a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! O. Martin was, after 41 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper 王. 顺龙 (Shunlong) made the save. 42 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when OUTES's G. Cîrnu received his second yellow card and was sent off. Independència's S. Schnebli got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 1 - 2. With the clock showing 44 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of OUTES resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by M. Chlebek in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Independència, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

After 47 minutes, S. Schnebli got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away. OUTES almost scored after a swift counterattack 48 minutes into the game, but T. Lunde put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. T. Lunde could have put his team up another goal 50 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Independència's J. Busquets made a successful breakthrough on the left after 56 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. OUTES's F. Kaiserslautern left the field after 63 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was A. Matzeu. OUTES claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

The most dominating Independència player was without a doubt X. Adell. G. Bárcenas on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important OUTES player was M. Chlebek. D. Nan turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
