previous 2/10 next 4/10  TARUGOS 4 - 0 HØJBUSK (378604735)

The 2172 spectators at TARUGUITO ARENA were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Volkert Preenen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wojmir Siwak and Bennet Dröge. TARUGOS decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Cuccu - Albariño, Chernokrylov, Alquézar - Köppl, Shabkhiz, Łęgosz, Mitov, Schoeffel - Rehse, Barrenechea.

HØJBUSK tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Weirather - Beckmann, Tavares, Bennetzen - Morenete, Chipo, Valk, Lønholdt, Bramsen - Hjort, Raak.

After 15 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to HØJBUSK's W. Weirather being carried off the pitch and replaced by M. Stokholm. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, E. Morenete took over the role of being the HØJBUSK captain. TARUGOS took the lead 20 minutes in, as S. Shabkhiz broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. 29 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as E. Barrenechea broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for TARUGOS. By now, the players in TARUGOS felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. HØJBUSK had no available replacements when K. Bramsen had to leave the game after 30 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. TARUGOS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.

TARUGOS's P. Albariño increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 54 minutes. HØJBUSK had a fair chance to reply after 62 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end E. Morenete was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. TARUGOS managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when E. Rehse cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 77 minutes into the game, S. Shabkhiz had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came I. Ali. TARUGOS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

The most dominating TARUGOS player was without a doubt E. Rehse. J. Alquézar on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important HØJBUSK player was J. Valk. M. Stokholm turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
