It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why A. Berenguer found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Gorriak managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when B. Olmo Vélez cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. By now, the players in Gorriak felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Gorriak increased the lead as G. Spielmann struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Gorriak to 4 - 0 as M. Kiessling finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Gorriak's Y. Schleuniger swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Gorriak had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

69 minutes in, FBPLES's I. Silva Pacheco received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The player down was M. Kiessling. The Gorriak bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Gorriak coach let H. Coruxeira replace G. Spielmann after 72 minutes. Y. Schleuniger should probably have put his team up another goal after 75 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by V. Tyrvänen kept the visitors in the game. 76 minutes in, Gorriak appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. With 82 minutes played, Gorriak put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to N. Gaizaráin, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. A well placed corner kick from Y. Schleuniger was followed by H. Coruxeira's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Gorriak, the score now 6 - 0. Gorriak solidified their lead at the 87 minute mark, as M. Kiessling dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 7 - 0. At that, M. Kiessling was noted down for a hat trick! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gorriak, with 80 percent of the ball.

H. Coruxeira performed admirably for Gorriak. V. Capó was a disappointment, however. Most important FBPLES player was T. Dreythaller. J. Brevis on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.
