Trumbur 1 - 1 Bianconeri
(379356404)

23-05-2012 16.45
809 punters turned up at
Havnartindur, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Sotiris Christofis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Karl Raun Sørensen and
Robert Wahlflod.
Trumbur decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Sloan - Visini, Kalamár, Bałuszyński, Mikines, Klanggren - Heath, Finnson, Moore - Baldvinsson, Thorning.
Bianconeri tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination.
Lineup: Schwöeken - Gantz, Tosetti, Fett, Canbay, Thiemel - Violante, Tettau, Canavesi, Astore - Pepinster.
Trumbur mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Bianconeri.
Bianconeri's
N. Canavesi was shown a yellow card after 16 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The goal for 0 - 1 was a funny story: after 24 minutes the seemingly nonchalant lob from Bianconeri's
N. Thiemel landed at the feet of
E. Pepinster who sidefooted it into the net - nice goal!
Trumbur equalised after 36 minutes after a brilliantly placed penalty by
R. Thorning.
With 43 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
M. Fett needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Bianconeri claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
60 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Bianconeri substitution.
E. Tsakiroglou came on for
N. Thiemel.
After 70 minutes, the Bianconeri coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
N. Canavesi off the field.
D. Grzywaczewski took his place.
75 minutes in, Bianconeri's
N. Astore received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
W. Tosetti from Bianconeri a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After 77 minutes, Trumbur's
H. Sloan fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
M. Fett had a good opportunity to give Bianconeri the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save.
Trumbur's
J. Finnson left the field after 80 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
K. van Gemert.
Bianconeri enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
R. Heath performed admirably for Trumbur.
H. Sloan turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Bianconeri player was
H. Tettau.
However,
W. Gantz made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 1.
