Clear skies welcomed the 691 spectators who had made their way to Ratteuh. Gauke Pieter Aandenboom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roman Woźnicki and Alain Garçon. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Jenssen. 9 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Jenssen was D. Sackx. R. Gaillard of Jenssen received a yellow card after 17 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 28 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and D. Fürsicht gave the Jenssen supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. FC.Poivrot were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 30 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to S. Shani, who smashed it home to make the score 2 - 1. 37 minutes into the game, J. D'haen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came M. Wylleman. FC.Poivrot's J. de Maar was shown a yellow card after 38 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 39 minutes, L. Zaru sprinted between the opposing defenders and squared the ball, but the keeper deflected J. de Maar's shot. R. Gaillard of Jenssen seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 3 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by D. Vanderheyden. A bit later, FC.Poivrot's K. Vannoorbeeck easily reduced the lead to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 3 - 2 was the halftime score. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

G. Van Buynder wanted to play on, but the Jenssen coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by D. Santamaría. The Jenssen players could smell victory in the air. A. Verheyleweghen wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Van Droogenbroeck after 46 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Jenssen to 4 - 2 as D. Santamaría finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. FC.Poivrot's right side looked dangerous after 68 minutes, as S. Shani broke through. M. Wylleman continued to stifle them, however, as he made the save look easy. The home side's R. Gaillard came close to extending the lead 72 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but R. Anderson managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. The visitors' right side was dangerous today; B. Baelemans made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 4 - 3 72 minutes into the match. The visitors didn't give in and, after 77 minutes, B. Bauwens got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 4 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Jenssen, with 51 percent of the ball.

Jenssen's top performer was clearly D. Fürsicht. S. Abbes on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important FC.Poivrot player was S. Shani. However, R. Anderson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 4.
