It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 1142 that came out to The Arena. Bruno Formenti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Janick Verwoert and Magnus Bernén. Encabronated clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. After 30 minutes, the Encabronated coach made a sign to I. García-Camba, who soon changed positions with B. Atanasov. 33 minutes into the game, Encabronated had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to solid. 34 minutes into the game, S. Vejjajiva almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Encabronated's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 35 minutes gone, but W. Reinermann's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Espilla got himself booked. The manager of Encabronated was not happy. 42 minutes into the match, ATLETICO nearly took the lead, as B. Ciner broke through on the right. B. Atanasov made the save, however. After 44 minutes, the Encabronated coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving R. Sans off the field. V. Núñez took his place. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. ATLETICO claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

During the break, Encabronated's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. T. Abalain would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. P. Nusser entered the game for ATLETICO as the match clock showed 60 minutes. M. Jordan was handed the ATLETICO captain's armband. 60 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Encabronated substitution. H. Ragnander came on for B. Atanasov. 75 minutes into the game, ATLETICO wanted to bring some new energy to their game. B. Ciner gave M. Waniewski a quick hug as he left the field. Slack defending gave Encabronated a chance to take the lead with 76 minutes played, but G. Vochin's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile G. Vochin. Down the middle came R. Podliński, making a fantastic play that nearly had ATLETICO take the lead after 79 minutes, but H. Ragnander preserved the tie. As the 80 minute mark approached, the ATLETICO coach decided it was time for a substitution. B. Treitschke reluctantly made way for A. Hamdan on the pitch. M. Vierunen found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. S. Vejjajiva had a good try after 81 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Encabronated were able to mount several counterattacks, such as the impressive one after 82 minutes, but J. Van Caeneghem lofted a free kick over the crossbar. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ATLETICO, with 67 percent of the ball.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Encabronated was able to get his message across, and raised Encabronated's organisation to excellent. ATLETICO had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 98 minutes in when F. Casanueva came up alone against H. Ragnander who managed a block. ATLETICO's M. Waniewski got himself booked for a foul. A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 114 minutes led to ATLETICO's M. Waniewski giving the visitors the lead 0 - 1. This put an end to extra time, making ATLETICO the winners. Encabronated's best player was H. Ragnander. However, I. García-Camba made a disastrous appearance. ATLETICO's top performer was clearly M. Waniewski. On the other hand, W. Diez's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 1.
