Clouds darkened the skies at Xatzikiriakio City Stadium as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. With 34 minutes played, Paltadiakos put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was V. Kapllani. M. Seremetiadis of Paltadiakos was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish M. Dakis, which resulted in a goal making the score 0 - 4. A drive down the left side allowed A. Kounelakis to get in close and score another goal for Paltadiakos after 39 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. With 43 minutes played, Paltadiakos's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to M. Seremetiadis he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 6. After this, you could see that the players of Paltadiakos were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. It was 0 - 6 at the break. Paltadiakos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 90 percent of possession.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Xwmata had solid organisation. 48 minutes into the game, Xwmata seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. Seremetiadis was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 9. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for M. Seremetiadis. M.
