CRU clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Some great play up the middle by CRU led to a chance for J. Humm to score after 8 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why J. Humm found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. After 30 minutes, Nelsons's E. Melappioni made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Following a foul after 40 minutes, CRU got themselves a free kick just outside the penalty area. T. Duelund levelled the scoreline - 1 - 1. Halftime score was 1 - 1. CRU had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

CRU took the lead 47 minutes in, as F. Mourinho broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Nelsons had a chance to level the score as K. Davey suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. After 72 minutes, the visitors tied it up at 2 - 2 when a fantastic pass from the left was finished off by S. De Masi. T. Duelund gave CRU the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 The CRU players could smell victory in the air. F. Mourinho wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for S. Toftlund after 80 minutes. The coach of CRU was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, G. Ivan came on for J. Humm. Usually a powerful player on the field, J. Gangén looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. CRU were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 84 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by T. Duelund. 4 - 2 for the home side. This third goal completed a hattrick for T. Duelund. P. Pihlland wanted to play on, but the CRU coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 85 minutes into the game by J. Dragnea. CRU enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

CRU's best player was S. Toftlund. On the other hand, M. Grönau's play was disheartening. Most important Nelsons player was J. Bækgård. However, S. De Masi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 2.
