Didi 2 - 1 Eversten
(380278762)

12-06-2012 18.00
18542 spectators had found their way to
FC Didi Arena, despite the heavy rain.
Moritz Biber was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
César Fernández Esteban and
Ricardo Pomar.
Didi tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Steghofer - Beyer de Ryke, Bunzendahl, Hansson - Ebbers, Ribeiro, Furgone, Sodar, Hassel - Jezbera, Preiss.
Eversten decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
Lineup: Paraska - da Lagoa, Furmans, Aakerman, Breitling, Bramfeld - Figan, Martí, Célestine - Elmose, Figueiredo Cardoso.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Eversten.
Eversten mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 3 minutes, but
E. Bramfeld was unable to convert from short range.
R. Breitling behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 8 minutes as he gave the ball away to
M. Jezbera. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
J. Sodar was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on!
Didi had a good opportunity to take the lead as
J. Sodar came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
E. Paraska.
Halftime score was 0 - 0.
Didi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.
69 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Didi was
M. Jezbera.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 77 minutes, Didi tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish.
After 78 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Eversten on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
L. Furmans to make it 1 - 1.
Didi took the lead 84 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as
J. Ribeiro elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
Didi enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
Most important Didi player was
M. Furgone.
J. Ebbers was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Eversten player was without a doubt
T. Figueiredo Cardoso.
However,
E. da Lagoa made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 1.
